SprutCAM forum _ SprutCAM Postprocessors _ Post and Schema for Haas TM-2P

Posted by: bfalter Aug 17 2014, 02:01 PM

Does anyone know where to find posts for Haas milling machines, ideally the TM-2P - but I'll take what I can find. I have SprutCAM versions 7 and 8, and would upgrade to 9 if necessary.

The only Haas posts I can find with the programs are
- HAAS (SL30)_TurnMill.sspx
- HAAS zx.spp
- HAAS_SL30_spp

The www.sprutcam.com site only lists HAAS under "Turn milling" which suggests these are the same posts that I already have.

I found a webpage stating "SprutCAM have in this moment 133 postprocessors..." followed by a list that includes
HAAS(s)
HAAS
HAAS_
There's no apparent way to get to these posts through that site however.

This forum discussed a Haas VF-2 postprocessor and there are tantalizing references to others scattered around the web.

Obviously I'm missing something. Haas bills itself as the largest machine tool builder in the world. I can't imagine Haas mills wouldn't be supported. Where can I find them?

If there were also a Haas 3-axis mill on the list of machines that would be a bonus, but, I can live without that.

Many thanks in advance!

Hi bfalter, and welcome to the SprutCAM users forum,

Attached is a HAAS mill postprocessor for you to try.
It should work in SprutCAM 7 / 8 and 9.
It does not support the later EXTCYCLE format so if you are using SprutCAM 8 or 9 you will have to use the 'CYCLE for old postprocessors' option or use the 'Long hand' option under 'NC code format' (not for tapping).
The output registers are set for metric units.

Test the output carefully before using it in anger.

This is provided 'as is' and is used at your own risk.

Thank you very much Dave, I really appreciate it.

I'll be careful not to make it angry.

Have a great week,
Brian
