Why can't SprutCAM 8 generate curves for 5D Contouring on a hemispherical surface? I've tried doing this with a Kuka robot and a 5-axis Mill Machine (see screenshot) and I can't get squat. I've tried with a fully-revolved dome, a 180-degree revolve and a 90 degree revolve. No matter what I type into the "Step amount" no curves appear. Why?

UPDATE...I can generate what I need on a different computer using Solidworks, instead of Inventor at this PC. It's a mystery... |

I think that this is a problem caused by there only being two 'edges' for the software to be able to calculate the required 'curves'. In the attached (V8) project I have imported a half of a hemisphere which is made up of two 'Faces' and this works correctly, if it was done using a single face it wouldn't work.
The new 'Morph' operation in V9 can do this using a single face. I hope this helps. Dave
