When I try to import an Inventor 2014 model into SC8, I get either an error message about a database schema incompatibility, or the add-in runs but imports nothing. The add-in runs flawlessly with Inventor 2010 models. SprutCAM 8, Inventor 2010, and Inventor 2014 are set to run as administrator (which was the solution to an earlier hiccup with Inventor 2010). SprutCAM shows my add-in as being up to date (Addins 8.2.0.68227).

I don't know if this is related to a problem that Mauricio reported in May 2013.

Is there a new add-in that I need to download and install?

Thanks.

The culprit, in this case, appears to be the Windows 7 UAC. Even with Sprut and Inventor assigned Administrator rights, the UAC prevents the add-in from working correctly. The problem appears to be on the Inventor side. With UAC shut down completely, the Inventor add-in works normally. Windows 7 UAC problems are nothing new; they seem to crop up regularly and repeatedly. It's annoying that the only way to get a computer working is to make it more vulnerable.
