Okay, so the Pocketing operation is technically doing exactly what it should, defining a pocketing cut by the geometric perimeters of the how can one edge of a pocketing cut be extended outward if that edge is open to the outside? See the attached image, I need the pocketing operation to continue down to the green line (therefore going out of the operation's boundaries) and not simply stop at the orange lines. Otherwise I get small rounded corners at the bottom of that pocket due to the cutting bit's round geometry. Thanks for any help!

If you have a version of SprutCAM which includes the Waterline roughing operation, it will do this automatically.
If you don't have this option then the Pocketing operation will only machine within the boundaries of the selected geometry (curves / edges). You can either create the required pocket geometry using the 2D geometry tools in SprutCAM, or, create it in an external CAD system.
An alternative to this would be to use the 2D contouring operation with 'Roughing XY paths', see attached images.
